The desire to create has been within me since I was very young. The pure, innocent freedom and joy as a child – cutting up construction paper and gluing it into a work of art, drawing endless masterpieces of dream homes and colorful flowers, making my own LEGO designs – got clouded and lost along the way through self-doubt, comparison, and the absence of encouragement.  It wasn’t until recent years that I found my way back to creating for the pure joy and fulfillment of the experience.  Learning the process of creating mosaics at the Chicago Mosaic School has opened a door for me to fulfilling a heart desire, and believing in myself again as an artist.  Having my husband and kids, along with others, encouraging and championing me, has been invaluable.  Listening to Father God’s voice has brought healing and freedom, so that I could embrace my true identity as His cherished daughter, and as an artist who reflects His creativity and beauty.  My own mosaic of life continues to unfold…
